Sherley Ray Wood

Sherley Ray Wood, age 84, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on April 19, 1932 in Winona, West Virginia to the late Gaines and Irene (Dorsey) Wood. Sherley was a veteran serving with the United States Army during the Korean War. He spent his career as a Barber in Sparta, North Carolina. He and his wife moved to Sebring in 2015 and were members of Bible Fellowship Church. Sherely was a member of the Exchange Club and American Legion. He loved to garden, remodel homes; and going to yard sales.  Survivors include his wife, Roxanne Wood of Sebring, FL; children: Danny Wood, Peggy Wood, Michael Wood, Brian Wood, Renee Owens and Rhonda Kirby; siblings: Patty, Brenda, Norma Jean, Ivalone, Glen, Harold and Connie; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
