Shasta Nicole (Carter) Moye

Shasta Nicole (Carter) Moye, age 40, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Shasta has been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, born on February 19, 1985. She graduated from Avon Park High School, loved to dance and laugh. She had a true admiration for music and deeply enjoyed every genre. Those who love her knew her to always have a tune in her head. She had an amazing sense of humor and was exceptionally strong and resilient. She had an incredible bond with her sister Darla, nephew and niece Tucker and Hannah Worden, and her beloved companion dog, Dakota, a fiercely loyal and protective labradoodle. Shasta was a true example of strength, and to know her was to love her.

She is survived by her mother; Tracy Worden, bonus-dad; Gary Worden, sister Darla Carter, Son; Cameron Moye, stepbrother; Grant (Ashley) Worden, stepsister; Danielle Worden, uncle; Randy (Amy) Tifft, aunt; Carla (Kevin) O’Connor, uncle; Harley Carter (Donna), nephew; Tucker Worden, niece; Hannah Worden, cousins, and many loving extended family and friends. Shasta is preceded in passing by her father, Richard Carter and grandparents; Paul and Karen Tifft.

In memory of Shasta, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Highlands County.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
