Sharon H. Becan

Sharon H. Becan, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in Lake Placid, Florida. She was born on October 18, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Wilton W. and Glendene F. (Hale) Stringer. Sharon had been a resident of Lake Placid since 2002 coming from Wauchula. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed needlework, traveling and spending time with family. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Edwin C. Becan of Lake Placid, FL; two sons: William Herndon (Dawn)-Wellington, FL, Charles Wilton Herndon-Sylva, NC; one daughter: Norma Jean Herndon-Marlow, OK; one step-son: Charles Alan Becan- Macclenny, FL; one sister: Judy Brock (Leroy)-Avon Park, FL; one half-sister: Mary Ellen Moon (Kevin)-Boonville, NY. She was preceded in death by her son: David Herndon. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 beginning at 11:00am at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home with W. Mike Adams officiating.
