Sarah Mae Ellis

Sarah Mae Ellis, age 88, of Lakeland, FL, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021.  She was born June 1, 1933 in Alachua County, FL to Jonathan and Mary (Youngblood) Pond.  Sarah was a homemaker, a member of the Corinth Primitive Baptist Church, and a longtime resident of Polk County, FL.  She is survived by her Daughter – Susan Ellis of Lakeland, FL; Son – James “Eddie” Ellis (Terri) of Bradley, IL; Grandchildren – Clent and Cleth;  and two loving and dedicated Caregivers – Kelly Sappington and Sharon Jacobs.  Sarah is preceded in death by her Husband – Calvin Ellis; and Brother – James Maxcy Pond.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Corinth Primitive Baptist Church, Bereah, FL, with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment following in Corinth Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Corinth Primitive Baptist Church or the Viking Fund, c/o Lakeland Christian School, 1111 Forest Park Street, Lakeland, FL  33803.
