Sandra “Sandy” Griffin, age 70, of Lake Placid went to her heavenly home on February 4, 2021, where she received her heavenly robe and crown. She was born in Wauchula, Florida on September 4, 1950 to Herman and Marion Crawford. Sandy was known as the most caring and selfless person who gave everything she could to everyone she met. She never met a stranger and always did everything for everyone she could. She dedicated her life to serving others at Hardee County Health Department. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church. Sandy was a dedicated nurse, mother, wife, nana, confidant, and friend. Sandy was preceded in death by her mother, father, and younger brother, Floyd, brother-in-law Derrell Mills, niece Dona Jo Gonzales, and nephew Trevor Weeks. Sandy leaves behind the love of her life and best friend of 48 years, Donald Griffin, her three children Kylen (Marcy) Griffin, Valerie Griffin, and Alana (David) Rehn.
