Samuel Amos Race, age 69 passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Dallas, Pennsylvania to Charles Alexander and Ida O. (Cook) Race. He was a Truck Driver, of the Baptist faith and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1998 coming from Candor, New York. He is survived by his wife-Mildred Race of Avon Park, Florida; brothers-Elmer Race (Margaret) of Nungola, Pennsylvania, Dana Race (Marilyn) of Falls, Pennsylvania, Olin Race (Elsie) of Anchorage, Alaska, Walter Race (Marilyn) of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, Daniel Race (Dorla) of Avon Park, Florida, George Race (Joyce) of Falls, Pennsylvania and Jacob Race of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida.
