Samuel Kerr Morton

Samuel Kerr Morton, age 77, passed away on Monday January 5, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Florida. He was born on March 27, 1937 in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania to the late Samuel R. and Mary Elizabeth (Kerr) Morton. Sam was a 22 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He had been a resident of Sebring for 20 years coming from Mulvane, Kansas. He was a member of the 32 Scottish Rite and Shriner, very active in the Military organizations and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Sam is survived by his wife, Barbara Morton-Sebring, FL, children, Kevin K. Morton (Dana)-The Colony, Dallas TX; Tim Morton (Lorraine)-Grand Rapids, MI; Tina Bumgarner (Bob)-Jacksonville, FL; his brother, Keith Morton (Fran)-Sebring, FL and sister, Elaine Anderson-China, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Morton. Interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with Military Honors on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 1:00pm.
