Sally (Williams) Schaar, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away May 27, 2025, in Sebring FL.
Sally was born in 1943 in Flint, Michigan, to Lloyd and Rose (Cokeley) Williams. She married Edward Schaar Sr in 1962.
Sally was always involved with the activities of her children, serving as a 4-H leader for many years. She enjoyed chaperoning various 4-H trips throughout the years and participating in MSRBA rabbit shows.
After moving to Lake, Michigan, Sally served as treasurer of the board at Sandy Shores Resort, making many friends along the way.
For the past 20 years, Sally and Ed spent winters at Southern Pines Resort in Frostproof, FL, eventually making that their permanent residence. She had a love of sewing, quilting and crafting, and loved playing cards and games with her many friends. Everyone knew that regardless of the weather, Sally would ride her scooter to the clubhouse and many people joked they knew what time it was when they saw her speeding by like clockwork. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Sally is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward Schaar, Sr of Frostproof, FL; her loving children Ed (Karen) Schaar of Fremont, MI, Cathi (Jeff) Bailey of Independence, KY, and Amy (Kirk) Miller of Davison, MI; grandchildren Corey (Jessica) Bailey, Josh (Madison) Bailey, Claire Schaar (Tom Johnson), and Hailey (Kate) Guthrie; great grandchildren Lily Bailey and Parker Bailey; sister Sharon (Chuck) Little; her beloved dog Toby; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerry Williams and sisters Rose Marie and Patsy Williams.
The family would like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Bud and Donna Somers Hospice in Sebring, FL for their care and support during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
