Ruth Clark Webb

September 30, 1920 — January 9, 2013

Ruth Clark Webb, age 92, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Sebring, FL. She was born in Drakesboro, Kentucky on September 30, 1920 to James Henry and Lois (Berry) Webb. She joined Sudan Interior Mission (SIM) in 1950 and was a missionary in Nigeria, West Africa, faithfully serving the Lord for 35 years. She retired to the SIM Sebring Retirement village in 1985, but continued to be active in a jail ministry and as church secretary at Covenant Presbyterian Church for 11 years. She is survived by two nieces, Suzanne Hinman of St. George, UT and Janine Moss of Hemet, CA, and two nephews, Jim Brewer of Missoula, MT and Brent Brewer of Apple Valley, CA. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Webb, Maxine Brewer, Aileen Bavido and Olivia Robock. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the SIM Chapel in Sebring with Dr. Eugene Bengtson officiating. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service with a graveside service and interment at Pinecrest Cemetery immediately following the memorial service.
