Ruth Evelyn Hughes, age 88, lifelong resident of Avon Park, FL, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 in Sebring, FL. She was born on December 24, 1933 to Earl Hughes and Mary Evelyn Colinot, in Daylight, TN. Ruth worked at a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Avon Park, FL. She is survived by Daughter – Shelley Vidaud (Charles) of Sebring, FL; Brother –James Roy Hughes (Debbie) of Avon Park, FL; Niece – Debbie Hughes; 4 Grandchildren – April Coller (Joey Santiago), Amanda Streeter (Hayden Kiser), Jennifer Edwards (Nate), and Christina Soloe (Brian); 7 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Nieces and 2 Great Nephews. Ruth is preceded by Parents – Earl and Mary Evelyn Hughes; Husband – Richard Hughes; Daughter – Cheryl Streeter; and Brother – Harold Hughes. Funeral Services are Saturday,  August 13, 2022 at Avon Park Seventh Day Adventist Church at 3:00 P.M.
