Ruth Alice Geldart
Ruth Alice Geldart, age 88, of Bradenton, FL, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025,
with her loving husband, Don, by her side. She was born December 3, 1936 in Moncton, New
Brunswick, Canada to the late Hanford G. Brace, Sr. and Florynce Bishop Brace.
Ruth dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband, of
almost 65 years, and their three children. Ruth’s greatest joy came from spending time with her
family, whether it was a simple fireside chat to large family vacations. Ruth’s loving and
nurturing ways were evident in care of her family, her pets and in the vast amount of plants she
raised from just seedlings. Ruth and her family, her Brother and his family, and their parents all
moved to Avon Park from Canada in 1976. While her children were young, Ruth was involved in
the Avon Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church, local charities and the local garden club. In
2010, Ruth and Don decided to move to Bradenton to be closer to their daughters and she
picked up her community activities at the Bradenton Seventh Day Adventist Church which
included everything from Sabbath School teacher to Vacation Bible School leader.
Ruth was a loving wife, an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is
survived by her Husband – Donald Blair Geldart of Bradenton, FL; Son – Michael Geldart
(Kimberly) of Deland, FL; Daughters – Crystal Gambino (Anthony) of Bradenton, FL; Kimberly
Geldart of Bradenton, FL; 5 Grandchildren (Christine, Michael, Katrina, Timothy, and Elizabeth)
and 3 Great Grandchildren (Kaylin, Aiden, and Luca). The family will be having private services.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation be made to: AdventHealth Wachula
