Ruth E Durden

Ruth Emerald (Enoch) Durden, 90, of Avon Park FL passed away April 15, 2O17. Ruth was born March 16, 1927 in Akron Ohio. She was the 1st of 4 children born to Richard and Roxie Enoch. Ruth moved to Avon Park from Cleveland, Ohio in 1963. She was a longtime and active member of the First United Methodist Church in Avon Park. She was a very caring and loving mother, or 'Mamaw' as her grandchildren called her, and a second mother to many. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Dale Durden; three children, Renee (Kevin) Lewis, of Ft Myers Florida; Darlene Kreigh of Gotha FL and Ricky (Shirley) Viets of Avon Park: three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister Lila Behal of Avon Park, brother Virgil (Lee) Enoch of Anaheim, CA, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Lewis Enoch. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13th at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Avon Park. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Methodist Church in Avon Park.
