Russell Alvin Forman

Forman, Russell A., age 70 of Avon Park, Florida went to be with his Lord on Friday, April 20, 2012. Russ was born on December 18, 1941 in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Henry R. and Ida Mae (Eggert) Forman. After graduation from Lawrenceville Prepatory High School in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Russ went on to graduate from the automotive technical school, Spring Garden Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Russ then served 5 years in the New Jersey National Guard where he worked in the motor pool as a mechanic and dispatcher. After leaving the National Guard, Russ owned and operated a Shell Service Station in Deal, New Jersey and a Texaco Service Station in Cranbury, New Jersey. In 1984 Russ moved his family to Avon Park, Florida where he was very active with the Little League and Dixie Youth baseball programs as a coach and mentor. Russ managed the Sebring Shell Station until he retired in 2002 to spend time following his passion of classic car restoration. Russ is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia (Horrocks) Forman, three sons, Russell H. Forman of California, Duane Forman of Sebring, Rob Forman (Corrie) of Sebring; granddaughter, Emma Forman and loyal Weimaraner Winnie. As Russ wished, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2590 Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven, Florida 33881.
