Roy J. Bass, age 74, passed away on Sunday April 27, 2014, in Sebring, Florida. He was born on July 10, 1939, in Blountstown, Florida to J.W. and Flora Lee Bass. Roy loved to go fishing and camping, he enjoyed family time and working in his flower gardens. He is survived by his wife: Diane Bass of Sebring; children: Debbie (Gene) Bass of FL; Jim Bass of FL; Diana (David) Blake of FL; Daniel (Janette) Bass of CA, Debra (John) Bass, Ervin (Brenda) Bass of FL, Elizabeth Biermann of SC; brother: Jim Bass; sisters: Francis Bateman, Ruby Burkett, Leona Pickering, Mary Cox, Sanny Carter; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his daughter: Flora Horton and his son: Roy Lee Bass. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00am with Pastor Wilmont McCrary officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am. Burial will be immediately following service at Pinecrest Cemetery in Sebring, Florida.
