Rosa T. Brooks

Rosa T. Brooks, age 85, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in Sebring, FL. She was born on November 3, 1935 in Bell County, TX to Severo and Ygnacia (Trejo) Garcia.  She worked as a cashier for the military exchange, attended St. Catherine Catholic Church, and has been a resident of Sebring since 2017, coming from Bayonne, NJ. Rosa  enjoyed gardening, she was an avid gardener. She loved Texas, Texas Bluebells and the NY Mets. She is survived by her loving children – Kathryn Gasperson (Kenny); Laura Brooks; Rosa Brooks Lopez; Leonard Brooks Jr. (Kelle); Michael Brooks (Sarah); Lee Brooks (Theresa) Cristopher Brooks (Kelly); siblings – Jesus Garcia, Alejo Garcia; Philipa Garcia. Surviving are also 11 grandchildren – Philomena McKnight (Corey); Danielle Rivas; Kenneth Gasperson (Brianna); David Gasperson (Sarah); Felix Rodriguez Jr. (Taylor); Ian Brooks (Christina); Ryan Brooks; Joseph Brooks; Leonard Brooks III; Madison Brooks; Cristopher Brooks Jr., and 6 great grandchildren – Tionna Adams; Corbin Rodriguez; Rylan Rodriguez; Arden Rodriguez; Edward Gasperson and George Gasperson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard and a sister – Josephine Boyce. The Family would like to thank The Manor at Lake Jackson and VITAS, along with all their staff for providing loving care to her. We appreciate them greatly.
