Ronald Eugene Sturtz

Ronald Eugene Sturtz, age 75 passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 in Lakeland, Florida. He was born in Boone, Iowa to Earl and Kathryn (Croxen) Sturtz. He was an Air Traffic Controller, he enjoyed reading, and was very active in his church, he loved spending time with his family, he served in the United States Navy, and he was a member of Crossroads Community Church and had been a resident of Avon Park since 2004 coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 55 years-Delores Sturtz of Avon Park, Florida; children-Steven Sturtz (Darcy) of Flora City, Florida and Ronde Servita of Sebring, Florida; sister-Margaret Culver of Arizona; brother-David Sturtz of Iowa; grandchildren-Sara, Richard, Chris, Tonya, Beth, Brittani and James; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheril Snyder. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Crossroads Community Church with Pastor John Dumas officiating.
