Roland T. St. Pierre “Lefty” age 94 of Sebring, FL passed away on June 16, 2017. He was born on June 29, 1922 in Achusnet, MA to Phillip and Blanche Chartier St. Pierre. He had been a resident of this area since 1985 coming from Michigan. He worked as a supervisor for G.M. in Automotive Manufacturing. Roland proudly served his country in the United States Army 30th Division during WWII from 1942-1945. He served in five major battles and was wounded at the Battle of The Bulge, he served as interpreter in England where he met his wife Audrey Mae “Sunny”. Roland was a life member of Disabled American Veteran’s, a member of Military Order of Purple Heart, and a member of River Greens Golf Course for over 30 years. Roland was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He is survived by his children Michele Koon (Ken) of Avon Park, FL and Denise Decker (Ted) of Delaware, OH, his siblings, Richard St. Pierre of Rhode Island and Maurice St. Pierre also of Rhode Island; Grandchildren, Jon (Diane) Davidson, David Davidson, Michael Davidson, Kendra Weigen and Zachary Decker; seventeen great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his loving friend, Helen Ochala who together shared eleven years of great memories. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on June 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be a luncheon to follow at River Greens Golf Course. Memorial contributions may be made to River Greens Scholarship fund, PO Box 912, Avon Park, FL 33826 or to Our Lady of Grace Youth Program.
