Rodney Westberry Thompson, age 55 passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 in Melbourne, Florida. He was born in Tampa, Florida on March 20, 1957 to Grady F. and Mary B. (Fowler) Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a communications sub-contractor in the cable industry, he loved playing his drums and nature and spending time in his cabin he built and he loved spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife-Jackie Thompson of Ft. Meade, Florida; son-Rodney M. Thompson of Ft. Meade, Florida; brother-Ronnie Thompson (Wanda) of Ft. Meade, Florida; sisters-Bonnie Anderson (John) of Riverview, Florida, Linda Wooldridge (Ken) of Georgia, Gwen Thompson of Frostproof, Florida, Brenda Price (Skip) of Riverview, Florida, Carol Willoughby (Scott) of Temple Terrace, Florida and Becky Bronson (Bud) of Frostproof, Florida; brother-in-law-Kenny Shackley of Ft. Meade, Florida. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements were entrusted to the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida.
