ROBERTA JOANNE YOUNG Roberta Joanne Young, age 85, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013, in Avon Park, FL. She was born October 19, 1927, to Leslie Raymond and Margaret Ellen (Worster) Lee in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and had been a resident of the area since 1984. She was employed in retail sales and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, where she was very involved and was a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the Classy Lassies of Highlands County Red Hat Society. She is survived by her husband, James Roy Young; sons, Robert C. (Marianne) Twigg of Winnipeg Canada and David K. (Rita) Twigg of Miami, FL; step-daughters, April V. (Clay) Buchanan of Canton, Ohio and Mary A. (Marlin) Scott; sister, Bonnie J. Coffer, Bloomington, Illinois; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at St. John United Methodist Church in Sebring.
