Robert "Bob" Poirier Robert "Bob" Poirier, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on August 30, 1926 in Westbrook, Maine to the late Francis and Bella (Arsenault) Poirier. He was married for 66 years to his wife Elizabeth (Betty) Poirier, together they raised three daughters. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Sebring. He was a retired engineer with the Telephone Company. Bob was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers. He repaired talking books for the blind. He was an avid golfer with seven holes in one and an 11 handicap. He also enjoyed candle-pin bowling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife: Betty Poirier of Sebring FL, daughters: Carol Foy of York, ME; Barbara Poirier of Sebring, FL; and Joyce Poirier of Sebring, FL, granddaughters: Michele Foy of Concord, NH; Julie Cota (Bill) of York, ME, great-grandchildren: Evan and Aidan Cota.
