Robert Leroy Knickerbocker

Robert Leroy Knickerbocker, age 84, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016 in Winter Haven, Florida. He was born on August 5, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois to the late James W. and Edna (Armstrong) Knickerbocker. Robert was a veteran with the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War.  He moved to the area in 1979 and enjoyed golf, shooting pool, macramé and bird watching.  Robert loved spending time with his family.  Survivors include his wife, Lois Maureen Knickerbocker; son, Robert Lee Knickerbocker (Sharon); daughters, Diane Maureen Kirkland (John) and Barbara Sue Turner; brother, William Knickerbocker (Mary); ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Hembree.  The family will receive friends on Friday, January 8, 2016, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring.
