Robert Douglas Kallatsa, 85, of Sebring, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026.

Born August 8, 1940, in Ishpeming, Michigan, he was the son of the late Werner Albert Kallatsa and Jean Helen Quayle. A 1958 graduate of Ishpeming High School, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Following his honorable discharge, he built a career as an electrician with Cleveland-Cliffs Empire Mine in Palmer, Michigan, where he worked until his retirement.

Bob’s true passion was golf. Whether on the course with friends or sharing tips with family, the game brought him lifelong joy. Above all, he cherished time spent with family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose kindness and steady presence touched all who knew him.

He is survived by his companion, Ellen Marquart; his children, Robert Kallatsa of Tucson, Arizona; Steven Kallatsa and wife Julie of Tyrone, Georgia; Raymond Kallatsa and wife Tracy of Avon Park, Florida; Brenda Garceau and husband Tom of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and Bradly Kallatsa and wife Debbie of Columbus, Ohio. He also leaves behind his honorary stepchildren, Rachelle Murphy and husband Joe, Renee Byrne and husband Charlie, and Steve Marquart and wife Nancy, all of Sebring. He was further blessed with 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy.

Bob loved his family deeply, and his family loved him. He made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be truly missed.
