Robert James "Jimmie" Hargrove, Jr.

Robert James "Jimmie" Hargrove, Jr., age 85, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on September 14, 1930 in Arcadia, Florida to the late Robert J. and Mary (Johnson) Hargrove. A member of Placid Lakes Baptist Church, he was a lifelong resident of Highlands County and a life member of the American Legion Post #25-Lake Placid. Jimmie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany and Switzerland. He was an avid Florida Gator Fan. He worked for the United States Postal Service delivering mail in Lake Placid for 25 years and was a cattle rancher. His most memorable times were spent with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Edna Hargrove-Lake Placid, FL, children, Rick Hargrove-Canton, GA and Terry Hargrove Jackson (Tommy)-Lake Placid, FL, sister, Carolyn Hargrove-Lake Placid, FL, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
