ROBERT BOB DALE KURTZ Robert Bob Dale Kurtz, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in Sebring, FL. He was born on November 24, 1917 in Peru, Indiana to Arthur George and Arba Gertrude (Schraeder) Kurtz. He owned and operated Kurtzs Machine and Welding in Sebring. He served in the US Navy during WW II and the Korean Conflict, for a total of 14 years. On November 12, 1949 he received a commendation for repairing the Catapult System on the USS Philippine Sea, stating Your energy, resourcefulness, initiative and knowledge of matters pertaining to your rate have been outstanding during this period. His design became important for ships all over the world. He was a resident of Sebring since 1965 coming from Duluth, MN. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Kurtz of Sebring and several nephews.
