RICHARD WAYNE WHITNEY Richard Wayne Whitney, 75, of Sebring, Florida, passed away after his courageous battle with cancer on Monday, January 25, 2010, in Sebring. He was born April 13, 1934, to George R. and Datha U. (Baum) Whitney in Lima, Ohio, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1997, coming from Huntsville, Ohio. He was a graduate of Bowling Green State University; was an Auditor with the state of Ohio for 15 years and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of VFW Post 4300 and enjoyed fishing, baking bread and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his Wife of 34 years, Catherine Whitney, Sebring; Daughters, Cynthia A. Whitney, Lima, Ohio and Catherine A. Whitney Davison, Coffeyville, KS; Sister-in-Law, Ruthie Whitney, Lima, OH; seven Grandchildren; two Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.
