Richard E Wentz

Richard E. “Dick” Wentz, age 92, of Sebring, FL, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, June 23, 2017.  He was born July 21, 1924 in Allentown, PA to Dr. Frank R. and Kathryn M. (Shoemaker) Wentz.  Dick retired from United Airlines after 32 years, served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corps, was a winter resident of Sebring, FL from 1981-2011 coming from Wauseon, OH,  and became a permanent resident of Sebring, FL in 2012.  He enjoyed eating at Capt. D’s as often as possible and he became known as “Captain D.”  He is survived by his Daughter – Cheryl Pelkey; Son – Richard “Ric” Wentz (Pat); Step-son – Brad Stoll (Carol); Grandchildren - Lori Meiring (Mark); Craig Wentz (Lily); Katie, Kenny, and Kevin Stoll; and 4 Great Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife – Margaret (Grim) Wentz; second wife – Joyce (Stoll) Wentz; Brother – Dr. Frank Wentz.  The family gives a very special thank you to the staff of Fairway Pines of Sun N Lake and Vitas Hospice.  Memorial contributions may be made to Nu-Hope Elder Care Services, 6414 U.S. 27 South, Sebring, FL 33876.
