Richard Videbeck

RICHARD VIDEBECK Richard Videbeck, age 89, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013, in Roanoke, Virginia. He was born January 10, 1924, to Christian Magnus and Elizabeth Mari (Christensen) Videbeck in Harlan, Iowa, and had been a resident of Avon Park since 1996, coming from Tamarac, Florida. He was a Professor at The University of Illinois and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of Highlands Ridge Golf Club and Professor Emeritus at the University of Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Videbeck; children, Mark Videbeck, Argentina; Erik (Karen) Videbeck, Tucson, AZ; Jon Videbeck, Scottsdale, AZ; Gregory (Mary) Pearlman, Wilmette, IL and Neal (Eden) Pearlman, Evanston, IL; brothers, Robert Bonnard and William Videbeck, both of Brooklyn, NY; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at their home on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Director of Advancement, University Library, University of Illinois at Chicago, 801 S.
