Richard Lee Straight

Richard Lee Straight passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in Sebring, Florida at the age of 85. The son of Charles J. and Alma Kent (Perkins) Straight. Richard was born on October 27, 1937 in Lumberport, West Virginia. He proudly served his country in the U.S Air Force & Air National Guard, attended Union Congregational Church in Avon Park and has been a resident of Sebring since 2003, having come from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was a member of the VFW, Honor Guard, American Legion, AMVETS and Vietnam Veterans. Richard’s hobbies included, golf, auto racing, formula 1 and NASCAR. He enjoyed working the 12 hours of Sebring. He was an avid reader with a great sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife Gina; sons – Jesse Straight (Helen) of Okeechobee, Florida; Brian Campbell of Sebring, Florida; Keith Parkman ( Tina) of Milledgeville, Georgia; daughters – Tracy Brothers (Mark) of Pleasanton, Texas; Caroline Boler of Frankfort, KY;  brother – Charles Kent Straight (Lois) of Boynton Beach, Florida. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – David Straight

A memorial service will be held at the VFW Post 4300 in Sebring, FL on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 3:00 PM.
