Richard "Dickie" Morris Rodrigues, Sr.

Richard Morris “Dickie” Rodrigues, Sr., age 87, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, in Sebring, FL.  He was born March 24, 1934, in Honolulu, HI to the late Elario and Mary (Morris) Rodrigues.  He was a member of the Waialua High School Class of 1952, a member of the territory of Hawaii First U.S. Marine Corps all Hawaiian Platoon, June 1952, a veteran of the Korean Conflict, retiring from Federal Government Hickam Air Force Base with over 38 years of service as an aircraft electrician, electrical shop Forman, and later electrical branch chief of the operation division, 15th base civil engineering squadron.  Dickie was also a member of the now disbanded Puerto Rican Association of Hawaii for 41 years, National Association of Retired Federal Employee (NARFE), and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). He is preceded in death by his Son – Richard M. Rodrigues, Jr. and Daughter – Jodie J. Mendes. He is survived by his Wife – Jane I. Miguel of Altadena, CA, First Wife and Mother of his children NormaJean Kovaloff Shackley of Kaneohe, HI; Daughters – Beverly Sermersheim (Henry) of Plano, TX; Denise Delgado (Juan) of Sebring, FL; Son-in-law – Nicholas Mendes III of Makaha, HI; 4 Grandsons — Juan L. II (Amber) Port Richie, FL; Nicholas Mendes IV of Kaneohe, HI; Christopher Mendes of Makaha, HI; Richard L. Delgado of Fredericksburg, VA; 2 Granddaughters — Sunshine (Nicole) of Plano, TX, Alexandrina B. “Lexie” (Ezell) of Sebring, FL; 2 Great Grandsons — Sean “Charlie”; Colton; 6 Great Granddaughters — Jasmine, Madison, Lydia, Kyleigh, Leiani, Eliana; a Granddog Louie, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
