Richard “Mac” McClain, Jr., age 59, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on July 5, 1956 in Germany. Richard was a veteran serving with the U.S. Army. After returning from his military career, he went to work for the Sebring Police Department and finished his career and retired from the Highlands County Sheriff’s Department. Richard was a member of Church of the Redeemer in Avon Park. He loved to fish and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Lori S. McClain-Sebring, FL, father, Richard Howard McClain, Sr.-Sebring, FL, children, Julie McClain Frederick (Brandon)-IN; Janine McClain-Sebring, FL, sister, Deborah Bianchi (Michael)-Melbourne, FL and three fur babies, Rocky; Jazzy and Star. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Anni W. McClain, son, Jason McClain, sister, Bridgette Howze and one fur baby, Kojak. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Pinecrest Cemetery, Sebring, FL.
