Richard Allen Henderson

Richard Allen Henderson, of Sebring, Florida, passed away on
June 11, 2025, at the age of 84. Dick was born on September 2,
1940, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, to the late Rex and Grace Henderson.

Dick served in the US Army from 1958 to 1962. He was held over
from September 1961 to February 1962 due to the Cuban Missile Crisis before being honorably discharged.

Dick was an avid golfer who bagged two hole-in-ones! His most
recent at the age of 82 on the 11th hole at the Country Club of
Sebring. When he wasn’t on the golf course, you could find him
spending time with his family and his beloved fur babies. He was
an excellent athlete who was a dedicated Boston sports fan. His
favorite teams include: Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics.
Dick loved country music and was a huge fan of Rock-N-Roll. He was especially fond of the Righteous Brothers.

After many years in the transportation industry, he was known for
his work ethic and finished his career as a supervisor with the
priority mail center at the USPS. Dick developed a reputation as a fair and reasonable supervisor.

Dick was a very loving and supportive husband, father,
grandfather, and uncle. He was disciplined and placed importance
on looking his best. Dick also had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Julie Henderson
(Sebring, FL); his son Mark (Kathleen) Henderson (Hampton,

NH); his brother Robert (Anne) Henderson (Sebring, FL); and his
2 grandchildren Sydney Henderson and Alexandria Henderson
and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his
parents, Rex and Grace Henderson and brother Rex Henderson Jr.
