Retha Suzanne Jones, 72, of Sebring, FL.  Retha passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones on August 14, 2018.  She was born on March 8, 1946 in Jacksonville, FL and was raised in Lake Placid, FL and graduated from Lake Placid High School in 1964. Her parents were Arthur E. Austin Jr. and Emma B. (Barton) Austin. She is survived by her husband James R. Jones, two daughters: Heidi Jones of Sebring, Emily J. High (Michael) of Supply, NC. Brother, Steve (Paula) Austin of Juno Beach and sister, Dorothy Morris of Sebring. Grandchildren: Hayden Parker, Mason, Phillip, Elizabeth and Owen High and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Community Church of God in Lake Placid.  She was an executive secretary for the government.  She attended college in Asbury, KY.  She enjoyed sewing, crochet, civil war reenactment.  She enjoyed graphic design and was a published poet.  She was active in Highlands County including the Chamber of Commerce VP and retired from South Florida Community College.
