Rene` Collette Blackmon

Rene` Collette Cone Blackmon, age 46 passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 in Sebring, Florida. She was born in Clearwater, Florida. Mrs. Blackmon was a Special Education Teacher for 22 years and was recently National Board Certified, she had received the Highlands County School Board Summit Award, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was very active, she had been a resident of Avon Park since 2007 coming from Lake Wales, Florida; she enjoyed working with youth and spending time with her family and pets. She is survived by her husband-David Blackmon and daughter-Victoria both of Avon Park, Florida; parents-Jim and Ann Cone of Lake Wales, Florida; grandmother-Jessie Bumgardner of Lake Wales, Florida and mother-in-law-Jeanette Blackmon of Lake Wales, Florida and extended family and friends. Visitation was held Monday, April 25, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church with Pastors Bob Johnson and Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Wales Cemetery.
