Raymond Peter Hennessy, age 65, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 in Sebring, FL. He was born on August 17,1955 in Evergreen Park, IL to the late Raymond Thomas Hennessy and Armina Mae (Torrance) Hennessy. He had been a Florida resident for more than 20 years, formerly living in Chesterfield, SC. He attended Union Congregational Church and served his country in the U.S. Army. Raymond worked in Sales. He owned a record store and loved music. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Gatlinburg, TN with his family. He is survived by his loving wife – Susan; children – Bevin Steen (Matthew); John Lane (Renee); Patricia Smith (Watson); Charlie Williams; Lillian Thompkins (John); Thomas Male (Heather); Salli Wyatt; brother – William Hennessy (Marie). Surviving are also twenty-one grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Peggy Huff and daughter Marianne Amador. A celebration of life will be held at Union Church in Avon Park on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11am. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
