Raymond Edwin Fulmer, Jr.

RAYMOND EDWIN FULMER, JR. RAY Ray Edwin Fulmer, Jr., 76, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania and Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, in Sebring. He was born April 19, 1934, to Raymond Edwin and Saloma Magdalena (Knauss) Fulmer in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and had been wintering in Sebring since 2006. He was a teacher, graduating from Kutztown University and receiving his Masters degree in Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of First United Church of Christ in Quakertown, PA. He was a member of Sertoma International for 18 years and Tanglewood Actors Guild; Dutch County Players in Quakertown; was a published award-winning poet; President of Quakertown Borough Council and co-founder, Actor and Director of Limelight Productions in Boyertown, PA. Ray is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Fulmer of Quakertown and Sebring; sisters, Susan (Page) Moffett, Leesburg, VA and Patricia (Johnny) Walker, Phoenix, AZ and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Charles Richard Fulmer and Steven Fulmer. Services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring with Mike Adams as Celebrant. The family will receive friends the hour preceding the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Quakertown, PA.
