On Nov 5, 2019, Ray Fort, age 90, of Avon Park passed away quietly at his home. Ray was born on July 5, 1929, as was his twin brother, Roy! The twins were the youngest of 8 children born to George and Abbie Fort of Morton, IL. Ray was an avid fisherman and golfer. He LOVED his community, his friends and his church. His passion was helping others, doing missions work to help disaster relief efforts within his church family. His one desire in life was to have led someone to accept Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Preceding him in death are his parents and 6 siblings (Mildred, Viola, Lloyd, Ralph, Louise, Doris) and his wife, Lanora, and their two sons, Greg and Doug. Ray is survived by his twin brother, Roy, of Morton, IL., Daughter in Law, Michelle Fort of WI, granddaughter, Shannon Ferguson (Geoff) and great granddaughter, Helena Ferguson of Blue Springs, MO, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  Ray leaves behind a great number of friends who genuinely love and adore him. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Church of Sebring at 10am on Saturday, December 7, 2019 followed by a reception/celebration immediately after in the Family Life Center at the Church.
