Randall David Cole, 94, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Sebring. He was born June 4, 1917, to Randall Duffie and Zibbie Vermont (Sharpe) Cole in Tiger Bay, Florida, and was a resident of Miami, FL from 1922 until his move to Sebring in 1982. He was a graduate of Miami High School and was owner and operator of upholstery and textile business in Miami and a retail nursery in Sebring. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Miami Outboard Club, serving as Treasurer and was an avid musician and organ player. He had a love for player pianos and collecting the player piano scrolls. He is survived by his best friend, Bruce Boyd of Sebring and was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Velma Inez Cole. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, Sebring, with W. Mike Adams officiating. Visitation will be the hour preceding the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd., Sebring, FL 33870.
