RALPH EUGENE SHAFFER Ralph Eugene Shaffer, 81, of Sebring, FL passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010. He was born June 28, 1928 to Truman F. and Della Bernice (Harrison) Shaffer in Terre Haute, Indiana. He had been a resident of Sebring since 1992 coming from Ft. Myers, FL and was the owner of a Canvas Company. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII; member of First Baptist Church of Sebring; Lifetime member of the Scottish Rite; Past member of the Masonic Lodge in Ft. Myers and Past Master Mason in Good Standing. He is survived by his Daughters, Marietta Mudgett (Bill) Ft. Myers, FL; Bobbie Henderson (Bill) Sebring, FL; Denice Cottingham (Jim) McDonough, GA; Sons, Micky Byrd (Teri) Sebring, FL; David Shaffer (Jo) Naples, FL; Ron Byrd Ft. Myers, FL; 12 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 5, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Sebring, Rev. James McCall officiating. The family will receive friends the hour preceding the service, beginning at 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to First Baptist Church Building Fund.
