Ralph Joseph Meredith was born June 1, 1939 in Beaver, Utah to Arthur John Childs Meredith and Alice Beaumont Meredith. He died peacefully in his sleep May 15, 2026 in Sebring, Florida.

He attended American Fork High School and Brigham Young University. While at American Fork HS he played the saxophone, bugle and the trumpet. He married Beata Ann Henrie, August 23, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before Beata passed away in September 2020.

Ralph retired from Tooele Army Depot in 1990, then went to work at Anchor Printing & Graphics with his wife Beata and sister in-law Tanya Henrie. They sold the company and retired in 2005.

While working at Tooele Army Depot, Ralph started playing chess, a game that he continued to play throughout his life.

Ralph loved motor-boating and waterskiing. In 1973, he got into sailing. The family had many sailboats and would go sailing on lakes and reservoirs around Utah until 1978 when they got a 25-foot sailboat and kept it at the Great Salt Lake marina.

Ralph was a member of the Great Salt Lake Yacht Club from 1978 – 2005. The family would participate in many sailboat races over those years, winning many trophies on four different sailboats: Cal 2-25, Santana 23, Shock 35, and a Fast 40. There are many fond memories of family togetherness on the water.
