Ralph Dean Levingston, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Sebring, Florida. He was born on June 19, 1928 in Newark, Ohio to the late Carey Raymond and Esther (Johnson) Levingston. Ralph was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea. He moved to Sebring, with his family in the late 50’s from Ohio, and developed several mobile home parks and built numerous homes. After 10 years he moved away to Tampa. Upon retirement from the University of South Florida’s machine shop, he decided Sebring was where he wanted to spend his leisure years. He had been a resident of Sebring for 43 years. Ralph enjoyed sailing, was a master gardener, a member of AMA, was a motorcycle promoter and loved his family and dogs. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Mary Lou Levingston of Sebring, Florida; Children, Victoria Kaufholz of Clearwater, Florida; Lorene Brown of Sebring, Florida; Jay Dean Levingston of Sebring, Florida; Sisters, Beatrice Reeb of Topeka, Kansas; Kathleen Busche of Columbus, Ohio; four Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 5 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highlands County Humane Society.
