Ralph E. Boyer

RALPH BOYER Ralph Boyer, 77, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at his home. He was born February 26, 1934, to Otis and Effie (Stringer) Boyer in Vandalia, Missouri, and had been a resident Avon Park since 2000, coming from Elkhart, Indiana. He was a member of the Elkhart High School Basketball team in the Class of 1953; was a salesman of manufactured homes, affiliated with the manufactured housing industry for 33 years and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Peacetime. He was a member of the IARA; Moose Lodge #599; American Legion Post #69 and very active in the Crystal Lake Golf Association. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football and the New York Yankees. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sally Boyer of Avon Park; Sons, Bob (Diane) Boyer, Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mike (Kelly) Boyer, Elkhart, Indiana and Steve (Tracy) Boyer, Elkhart, Indiana; brother, John Boyer, Alabama; sister, Lily York, Indiana; grandchildren, Corey, Jake, Sydney, Mitchell and Will and great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Jackson.
