Rafael Rivera

Rafael Rivera, age 79, passed away peacefully Friday, November 9, 2019 in Sebring. FL.  He was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico to Isabel Fonseca Hernandez and Albelardo Rivera Zayas. Rafael was the youngest of nine children, all of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his three sons, Hector, Jaimmie, and Gilbert, his two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. Known as Ralph or "Ralphie" to his many relatives and friends, he lived most of his adult life in New York before relocating to Pennsylvania, and finally retiring in Sebring, FL in 2002. Ralph was a film buff with an amazing capacity to recall decades of movie trivia. He loved to dance, and most enjoyed gathering with family and friends to laugh and create lasting memories. A funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, November 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 820 Hickory Street, Sebring FL. In accordance with his wishes, Ralph's ashes will be returned to his beloved Pocono Mountains, his paradise here on earth.
