Primitiva Romero Pizzarro

Primitiva Romero Pizarro, born on June 11, 1938, in Loíza, Puerto Rico, entered into eternal rest on October 16, 2024, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 86. She was the beloved daughter of the late Ángel Romero Escalera and Juana Pizarro Romero.

Primitiva is survived by her devoted companion, Abraham Cruz, and her loving children: Abraham Cruz of Carolina, Puerto Rico; Maritza Cruz (Luis) of Carolina, Puerto Rico; Evelyn Cruz (José) of Sebring, Florida; and Beatrice Cruz of Carolina, Puerto Rico. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Juan José Romero of Ft. Meyers, Florida, and Elba I. Romero of San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In 2016, Primitiva relocated from Puerto Rico to Florida, where she became a cherished member of both the Jesús Rey Soberano Church in Sebring and the Peace of Change on Hammock Road. Her faith was an important aspect of her life, and she found great comfort in her church communities.

Primitiva’s love for travel, especially to her homeland of Piñones, where she grew up, brought her immense joy. Her heart always remained connected to Puerto Rico.

As a mother, Primitiva was unmatched in her dedication and care. She worked tirelessly to provide for her children, ensuring they always had what they needed. Holidays were made extra special with new clothes and thoughtful gestures, but it was her selfless love and generosity that truly made her irreplaceable. Her kindness extended beyond her immediate family, touching all who knew her. In return, her family adored and cherished her, always making sure she felt appreciated and deeply loved.

Primitiva will be remembered for her loving spirit, her generosity, her unwavering work ethic, and her profound dedication to her family. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave in life.
