Phyllis Shumate

As many of you know, Phyllis has been battling Metastatic Melanoma for several years. She has undergone multiple clinical trials to stop or slow the progression while aiding in cancer research. Phyllis passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022 in her home with her loved ones. She leaves behind her loving husband Carl, sons Jason, Kevin and Layton, her mother Frances, sister Cindy, brother Steve and grandsons Chase and Levi. She was blessed to have many great friendships which she cherished over the years. She loved God, her family, friends and especially cycling.
Please help us celebrate her life and share your favorite picture or memory of Phyllis below. Phyllis did not want a funeral but a celebration of life, which will be held at Highlands Hammock Park in Sebring, FL on April 3, 2022. Details will be shared at a later date.
