Phillip Morris Wells, Sr.

Phillip Morris Wells, Sr., age 74, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Avon Park, FL. He was born on February 22, 1942 in Boston, GA to the late Woodrow and Bertha (Bradley) Wells.  Phillip had been a resident of Avon Park since 2015 having come from New York. He was of the Christian faith, loved bowling, and became a semi-pro bowler. Phillip worked at General Motors and as a professional Barber. He loved spending time with his family. Phillip is survived by his children: Phillip M. Wells, Jr. (Jennifer) of Avon Park, FL; Pakitta Wells-Felix (Luckens) of Avon Park, FL; Katrecia Wells of GA; Twong Wells (Roshida) of GA; siblings: Woodrow Wells, Jr., of NY; Andrew Wells (Patricia) of Pompano Beach, FL; Barbara Wells of Deerfield Beach; and nine grandchildren. Phillip was preceded in death by his wife: Ceola Wells in 2011; three brothers: Alfonso Wells, Russell Wells, Lewis Wells, and sister: Alicsten Broadnest.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, FL. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Mount Olive AME Church, 818 South Delaney Ave. in Avon Park, FL. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
