During her distinguished 28-year tenure in the Rossford Ohio Public Schools, Phebe epitomized humility, shaping the minds and characters of countless students with unwavering respect and compassion.
Phebe's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation she built her life upon, as she faithfully attended Detroit Avenue Wesleyan, Perrysburg Church of The Nazarene, and Avon Park Church of The Nazarene. Her life resonated with a steadfast belief and deep reverence for all creation.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially in the innocence of her grandchildren, whom she adored with boundless affection. Each holiday season, she poured her heart into making fudge and buckeyes, sharing not just treats but the sweetness of her spirit with friends and neighbors.
Phebe leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by her siblings, Lois Bower and Joseph Rahenkamp; her daughters, Shirley McGovern and Lois (Todd) McCarty Fillioe Ferrell-Pittenger; her son, Scott (Marsha) McCarty; daughter-in-law, Carol McCarty; stepchildren John (Brenda) Bartolomeo, Judy Bartolomeo, Gemma Bartolomeo-Crimmins, Mark (Cindy) Bartolomeo. Grandchildren Abraham Fillioe, Angela Fillioe, Andrew (Beth) Fillioe, Alyssa Fillioe, Lorie (Tim) Druschel, Jeff McCarty, Stephanie (John) McCarty-Yount, Danielle McCarty, Josh McCarty, John Michalski, Sara (Mike) Montes, Brian Bartolomeo, Jonathan Bartolomeo, David Bartolomeo, Luke Bartolomeo, Beth Bartolomeo, Nathanael Crimmins, Christopher Crimmins, Kevin Crimmins Jr., Andrew Crimmins, Jayna Bower, Christine Bower. In the heavenly realm, she reunites with cherished family who preceded her in death: husbands Elmer McCarty, Ward Barter, and Marco Bartolomeo; parents William (Letha) Rahenkamp; her sons Daniel McCarty and Daniel Bartolomeo; sisters Geneva (Richard) Beck, Esther Vivian Rahenkamp, Naomi (Gordon) Erbe, Miriam (James) Bradford, and Eunice (George) Rhoades; brothers Paul (Clara) and James (Heidi) Rahenkamp.
