Pearl Luke Hershelman, 78, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012, in Sebring. She was born July 15, 1933, to Ralph L. and Olive E. (Bingham) Luke in Dorchester, Massachusetts and had been a resident of Sebring since 2009, coming from Ft Mill, SC. She was a Missionary, with 49 years of active service with SIM in Nigeria; Ethiopia; Niger; Kenya and Burkina Faso as a Bible teacher and as an Assistant in the Treasurer's Office, and was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Sebring. She is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Hershelman of Sebring; daughters, Lynn (Jim) Shepard, Port Orchard, WA; Lois (Kevin) Casiano, Dunedin, FL and Laura Hershelman, Ft. Mill, SC; sisters, Thelma Sorenson, Hamilton, MT and Edith Johansen, Boston, MA; brother, Willard Luke, Dallas, PA and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday June 11, 2012, at the SIM Fellowship Hall in Sebring. Memorial Service will be at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in the SIM Chapel, with Pastor Andy McQuaid and Pastor Todd Patterson officiating. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Fulani Bible School in Burkina Faso, c/co SIM, 4114 Nigeria Rd., Sebring, FL 33875.
