Pauline M Cooper, age 83, of Avon Park, Florida passed away Sunday, October 1st, 2017. She was born November 16th, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to Paul and Theresa (Schwind) Mullman. Pauline and Henry moved to Avon Park from Barrington, Rhode Island in 2006. Pauline and Henry moved from New York to Rhode Island in 1963 raising their 7 children in Barrington until 2006. Pauline loved being a mother and took special delight in spending time with her children, particularly their outings to the beach in Newport, RI. Pauline was an avid golfer and directed both the nine hole women’s group and the junior golf program at Rhode Island Country Club. Pauline enjoyed playing cards with friends as part of the Barrington Bridge group for over twenty years. She participated in and was active on various committees in her parish, St Luke’s Church, Barrington.
Pauline was preceded in death by her son, Philip, and sisters Kathryn Mullane (Denis) and Barbara Kinney, and sister-in-law Carol Mullman. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Henry, of Avon Park, daughters, Suzanne Dias (Bill), Kathleen Barth (Richard), Marie Liberty, Christine Michalski (Noel), and sons Thomas, Stephen (Christine), brother, Raymond Mullman, sister, Bernice Roe, brother-in-law Richard Kinney and 15 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, October 4th, at Our Lady of Grace Church, Avon Park. Contributions can be made in Pauline’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice Compassionate Care, Seabring, FL. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, Rhode Island at a future date.
