PAUL RICHARD WHETSTINE Paul Richard Whetstine, 83, of Sebring, Florida, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011, at his home. He was born November 12, 1927, to John and Ava (Eakle) Whetstine, in Canton, Illinois, and had been a resident of Okeechobee and Sebring since 1992, coming from Bettendorf, Iowa. He was a Supervisor for the U.S. Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, retiring in 1988 after over 26 years of service. He attended Canton, Illinois public schools and Allied Institute of Technology and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Sebring. Paul is survived by his wife, Eleanor Coleman Whetstine; daughter, Lynne (Rick) Culligan of Chicago, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Stephenson-Nelson Chapel, Sebring, with Rev.
