Paul H. Tifft

Paul H. Tifft, age 75, of Avon Park, FL passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Lake Placid, Florida. He was born January 10, 1942 to the late Jerome and Hattie (Breeds) Tifft in Cortland, New York. Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked as a telephone installation contractor in many states including Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Ohio finally settling in Avon Park in 1971 after coming from Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Baptist faith. Paul loved going to flea markets, sitting under his favorite tree with his dog, chatting with his best friend and neighbor and Maxwell’s homemade orange Ice cream. Survivors include his Daughter - Tracy Worden (Gary) of Avon Park, FL; Son – Randy Tifft (Amy) of Pace, FL; Grandchildren – Shasta Moye; Darla Carter; Kimberly Hinerman; Brandon Tifft; Dalton Tifft; and Great-Grandson – Cameron Moye. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as extended friends who were like family to him. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Karen Tifft , his sister Betty Head and brother Edwin Tifft. A Memorial Service will be held at the Sarasota Memorial Cemetery for veterans in a private family ceremony on October 27, 2017.
